Global Grants UPDATE – Water Project for Maharashtra, India: PDG Meena Patel has been visiting India and took some pictures of our OHOLI well site. This village is deprived of nearly-every natural resource required to meet and maintain basic standards of life. Every day, women spend half of their working hours collecting water over long distances and climbing lots of steps (more than 5 to 6 trips a day for their family). After age 35, the women are exhausted and unable to continue this work. This has led to cases of socially unfavorable family polygamy with the sole objective for someone to gather water. The well was recently dug and is being installed.

- Next year’s Local Grant Requests will be due May 15, 2017. I will send information to your incoming President-elect in February.
- Your club’s President-elect and Foundation Chair or other club member must complete the required online qualification educational webinar at http://www.rotary6650.org
- The project must comply with Rotary Foundation and District recommendations.
- The project must utilize a separate checking account to handle funds and receipts must be maintained. Any significant conflicts of interest must be discussed with the District.
Military Grant - UPDATE: There has been a lot of activity on the Pegasus Project to assist Military and First Responders. More will be shared as this project comes to fruition.
