November is Rotary Foundation Month

It truly is a fabulous time to be a Rotarian!

So many of you (including four of our exchange students) were in Cleveland at Severance Hall for the Centennial Foundation concert performed by the world renowned Cleveland Orchestra. The concert was a wonderful prelude to the many November Foundation events planned in our District. Be sure to place your event on the District calendar or provide Lauri Coy at the District office with the information. (info@cantonrotary.org) I will try to attend as many as possible.

Several of your Rotary clubs helped recognize World Polio Day! Thank you! In Youngstown, area clubs helped put the light on Polio eradication by lighting up the YMCA building.

Why not make it a goal to visit a neighboring club: attend their meeting or special event. Several pancake breakfasts (Struthers and Champion) are scheduled in November as well as the Girard- Liberty Rotary Raffle.

Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving! We have so much for which to be thankful!

District Rotary Foundation

Louisiana UPDATE - Thank you Rotarians for your generosity in raising more than $11,000 to assist neighboring Rotary Districts with home repairs in Louisiana following this summer’s catastrophic flooding.

Centennial UPDATE - November Club Celebration: Packets have been sent to Club Presidents for this upcoming Foundation Centennial Celebration to be scheduled by each club during Foundation month in November.

Each club is to show a special video, purchase a celebration cake, sign a birthday card which will be sent to Ghana Obaatan Women’s Hospital, auction off a Centennial bottle of wine, and participate in a new Paul Harris Fellow Challenge. We raised $25K last year with that contest.
