  Rotary District 6650
       April 2017 Bulletin

Volume 1 | Issue 10

May is Youth Service Month
District Governor's Corner
May April bring you joy!

Flowers are blooming, Rotarians are working on many projects, the Green Sunrise Rotary Club is closer to reality, and the 2017 District Conference is now part of District 6650 Rotary history.

The District Conference at the Avalon was a labor of love by so many folks: Rotarians and non-Rotarians.  Special thanks to the Canfield Rotarians who worked many months to provide you with memorable experiences.

If you didn’t get a chance to visit Warren Rotary’s Hospitality Room, you missed a fun spot.  Thank you to the Warren Rotarians and Tony Cafaro for their work in encouraging Rotary fellowship.  Have you checked out Warren’s Rotary pizzelles?

Congratulations to the Conference Paul Harris recipients.

The PHF for first time attendees goes to Marcia Tirpak, whose partner, Rich, is the President of Plain Township Rotary

The Girard Liberty Rotary club received the PHF for the highest percentage of members in attendance.

If you have any pictures from the conference, please forward them to me or to Lauri.  I hope to make a district conference book.

If you haven’t responded to the conference survey sent out last week, please take a few minutes to respond.  The committee for next year is eager to see what worked, what didn’t, and what you would like to see next year.

The fourth committee meeting for the Green Sunrise Rotary was held on 25 April.  If you know someone who lives in the Green area and who might be interested in being a part of a new club, please send their name and contact information to Tom Craig, 330.773.0415 ext. 239 or tom.craig@scouting.org

Save the Date: Saturday, 6 May!  The Rotary International Vice President, Jennifer Jones, will be with us at the Foltz Center.  You will be in for a treat!

Hugs to you all,

Sieglinde
