Kelly Darney introduced guest speaker Pam Mercer, RN manager at Salem Regional Medical Center. Pam is the unit director for the Outpatient services areas including the Endoscopy program. Pam shared information on the Endoscopy Expansion project.

Pam Mercer shared information on the recent renovations at SRMC including the fall 2015 Cancer and Infusion Center, The Orthopedic Center that houses Dr. Simon and Dr. Peters, and the Endoscopy expansion project. The Endoscopy project was started in April 2016 and expands the unit to 4 procedure room and 16 private pre/post operative bays. This 6.3 million dollar project includes state of the art equipment and will accommodate increased volumes in this service area. Last year over 2000 procedures were completed in the Endoscopy program. 

Pam shared information on the types of procedures done in their suites ranging from endoscopy, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and bronchoscopy procedures. Other procedures done in their area include the new weight loss procedure using the stomach balloons done by Dr. Pulido.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Steve Bailey introduced the student of the month, Ayla Jean Mroczkowski. She is a senior at Salem High School, and is active in many school activities including Show Choir, Cheerleading and several school plays. Ayla plans to attend KSU Salem campus after graduation and major in nursing. She wants to work in OB like her mother.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Steve Bailey introduced the February student of the month, West Branch senior Brenda Reita. Brenda is active in West Branch basketball and track. Katherine Oesch introduced guest speaker Lauren Lindvig, Marketing Director for Avalon Properties. Lauren shared information on the $22 million renovations to Avalon Inn. She also shared information on the other two properties owned by the corporation (Squaw Creek Country Club and Buhl Park Inn). Lauren shared information and pictures of all three properties and the many amenities they have. She shared information on the golf courses and the many other assets of the properties.
