Rotary Club of Struthers

 
The Struthers Rotary has announced its Scholarship winners for 2017. Struthers High School students that were awarded $500 scholarships are Gianna Gentile (Struthers Rotary Community Corp Scholarship), Kayla Greenwood, Brianna Leonard, Jarrod Sawyers, Karli Shives (William Comstock Scholarship), Torre Smrek, Jessica Tirone (Henry Nemenz Scholarship) and Tara Winebold. The Comstock Scholarship is named for William Comstock, a former Rotarian, teacher and school board member. It is jointly funded by the Rotary and the Comstock family. The Nemenz Scholarship is named for Henry Nemenz, a longtime supporter of the club. The scholarship was funded by a donation from the Nemenz family. The Rotary "Service Above Self" scholarships are awarded to students that give back to the community. Since 1984, over 150 students have been awarded over $93,000 in scholarships.
