Operation Pollination Launched April 4th at Sugarcreek Rotary Fundraiser

On Friday, April 4th, 2025 from 7am - 6pm, families were able to learn about Rotary District's 6650 "Operation Pollination" at Sugarcreek Rotary's annual Pancake & Health Screen Fundraiser. A focused table and banner were put in place with seed packets attached to an instructional sheet designed by District 6650's Operation Pollination Chair - Christine Cope.

The seed packets were donated by Berlin Seeds.

Chairperson for the fundraiser, Wanda Angel, and also District 6650's PI Chair, talked about the importance of pollination and how the Sugarcreek club is taking on the initiative.  They put in place chairperson, Laura Russell, who is the Sugarcreek Library's branch manager. Laura will take the training to their next community engagement session on Tuesday, June 24th, 2025.

"We are excited to have the Operation Pollination program in our Sugarcreek Rotary Club.  We are providing important educational awareness to our community members while also growing our brand on what Rotary is all about. Laura will take this program to the next level with her expertise as branch  manager of our library. Our next commitment will be to provide a peacebuilding program.  We are still working on getting a chairperson assigned to the peacebuilding programs." explains Wanda.
