Champion Rotary International Program welcomes Japanese Student
 
The Rotary Club of Champion recently welcomed 2016-17, inbound student, Taiki Sano from Japan. 
 
Taiki is 16 years old. He is very interested in basketball, technology and art.  The Rotary Club of Champion has a well-established successful, International program and are pleased foster this experience for Taiki and the community.

Beloved Rotarian honored
 

James Omweg has been a member of the Rotary Club of Champion for over two decades.  The club recently had a farewell, thank you dinner for this great community member. James Omweg served many years as the Sergeant of Arms. He has served as both a Club Service and a Community Service Committee Chairperson and annually supports all Rotarian activities including the Memorial Day Parade, Cookies with Santa and all fundraising endeavors. He has been named Rotarian of the year and Senior Citizen of the year for his many achievements and contributions. He has worked in many aspects as a member of the Champion Presbyterian Church. Beyond the many service activities in which Mr. Omweg is involved he is truly a man of honor, dedicated to his community. He treats others with humble respect and kindness. His days are spent in devotion to his family, his church and his community. He is an example to others and our community is better because of him.
