ON THE LINE
Though a person is the District Governor for only one year, the road to and through the position is a bit longer. District Governor Nominee Designate; District Governor Nominee; District Governor Elect; District Governor; Immediate Past District Governor; Past District Governor. Accepting the appointment is a six, and sometimes seven, year commitment. As such, it is a good idea to know who is coming along, as well as who has already passed through the line.

DISTRICT GOVERNOR NOMINEE DESIGNATE: David Stillwagon (DG, 2026-2027)
David Stillwagon is the C.E.O. of Community Corrections Association, Inc. (CCA), located in Youngstown, Ohio. CCA is a not-for-profit organization that operates three halfway houses, a community-based correctional facility, day reporting program, intensive outpatient programming and a G.P.S. monitoring house arrest program licensed by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections, the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, Ohio Medicaid, and the Federal Bureau of Prisons. CCA also operates the Mahoning County Adult Probation Department, providing pre-sentence investigations for the Common Pleas Courts. pre-trial assessments in the Mahoning County Jail and probation supervision. Community Corrections Association, Inc. is accredited by the American Correctional Association. David is responsible for all aspects of agency operations, including fiscal, programming, operations, development and planning.
David is a member of the Mahoning County Stepping-Up Committee, Mahoning County Common Pleas Honor Court, Drug Court and Reentry Court Advisory Committees, Ohio Chief Probation Officers Association, and president of the Ohio Community Corrections Association. He serves as the Project Director for the Mahoning County Corrections Planning Board.
David graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Arts in justice studies and from Youngstown State University with a master’s in business administration. David is a lifelong Boardman resident and serves on the boards of Youngstown Cityscape, Mahoning Valley Historical Society, Salvation Army and the Boys and Girls Club of Youngstown.

1) What is your most memorable Rotary experience or occurrence? Traveling to the 2019 International Rotary Convention in Hamburg, Germany with my wife and fellow Youngstown Rotarians.
2) What is your favorite sport to watch and/or participate? Baseball
3) What is your favorite “comfort food” meal? Pot Roast with mashed potatoes
4) What new activity would you love to learn to do? Play the guitar
5) Which activity would you feel more preferrable: mow the lawn or clear the snow I enjoy mowing the lawn.
