Get ready for a sweet and impactful way to support our fight against polio! Rotary District 6650 is excited to announce Purple Pinkie Project 2024, aligning with World Polio Awareness Days (October 22 for World Post Polio Syndrome Day and October 24 for World Polio Awareness Day).
This year, in collaboration with Nemenz IGA bakery, we’re again offering delectable purple frosted “Long John” cream sticks for $20 per dozen. These treats are perfect for gifting, selling, or simply enjoying!
In our inaugural year, we raised over $9,000 for END POLIO NOW. This year, we’re setting our sights even higher, intending to surpass that achievement and reach 100% Club participation. Let’s make an even more significant impact together!
To ensure a smooth experience, District 6650 will be divided into three subdivisions, each with its designated delivery day. This scheduling will help Nemenz’s meet their commercial needs and make it easier for your Club to pick up the donuts at Nemenz IGA in Struthers or a central location within your subdivision.
- Each Club should appoint a Purple Pinkie Chair to handle sales, pick-up, and distribution.
- Prefer to skip the calories? We will happily accept donation checks in place of donut purchases!
Stay tuned for details on dates and pick-up locations to be announced soon. But don’t wait—start planning how your Club will participate in this delicious opportunity to support a crucial cause!
Thank you for your enthusiasm and support,
The 6650 Purple Pinkie Committee
