The Rotary Club of Salem celebrates 100 years of Service Above Self
On April 20th. Dr. Peter Apicella presented a the history of Salem Rotary with a slide show. He also announced two Centennial projects: A $50,000 local project that will create a Rotary Recreation Area in Waterworth Memorial Park and a $5,000 International project that will provide reusable textbooks for 5th & 6th graders in Honduras. This project will help increase literacy, Honduras currently has a 70% illiteracy rate.
Student of the month
Paige Bailey, Salem High School Senior was selected as student of the month for April.
Paige plans to attend Kent State University in the Fall.

Pancake Day will be held as a Drive through event this year on May 2, 2021 from 8-11 am. All tickets that were sold for the event that was cancelled last Fall will be honored. ( use photo if possible)
Toilet Paper! The Rotaract Club at CCCTC, along with the Salem Rotary held a toilet paper drive to benefit the Food Pantries in Lisbon and Salem. Over 600 rolls of tp were donated. Pictured making the delivery are Kevin Clark, Rotaract advisor and Dr. Kelly Darney.
Sue Darney Memorial Scholarship winners: 5 students from the CCCTC Practical Nursing Program were awarded the scholarships.
