In honor of the rich history of the Rotary Club of Warren, embedded in our Centennial logo are eight images representing the city of Warren, former Warren Rotarians along with their professions, and several of our club’s early accomplishments.
The overall image is a silhouette of the Trumbull County Courthouse, an icon for the city of Warren. Starting at the top of the logo, a triangle represents the YMCA, an organization the Rotary Club of Warren was instrumental in bringing to the city. Below that is a double bubbler, a water fountain spout that was the invention of Warren Rotarian Halsey W. Taylor. Continuing vertically, next is a piano keyboard which represents Lynn B. Dana who succeeded his father, the founder of the Dana Musical Institute. Directly below the keyboard are two mittens representing the Children’s Rehabilitation Center which was originally the Trumbull County Society of Crippled Children, a facility that the Rotary Club of Warren helped to create. An outline of a classic steel mill, representing many past club members’ vocations, sits atop the grille of a Packard automobile in homage to the Packard brothers of Warren. To the left of the grille is a representation of a pup tent commemorating the Western Reserve Council of the Boy Scouts of America, an organization to which Rotary contributed to create. And finally, on the right is a park pavilion representing Perkins Park in memory of former Rotarian Frank C. Perkins as well as the Perkins family of Warren.
